Morgan, Peter

Peter Morgan, whose father, Arthur Morgenthau, fled Nazi-Germany for London in 1933, is known for his visions of Englishness (The Queen 2006, The Special Relationship 2010, The Audience 2013, The Crown, 2016) and biographical speculation (Frost/Nixon 2006, Bohemian Rhapsody 2018). In 2010, Morgan began writing the screenplay for Bohemian Rhapsody, a biopic about Freddie Mercury, which was released in 2018 and won several awards. Morgan was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to drama.
