Kanaber, Daniel

Daniel Kanaber is a playwright from North London. He studied at Manchester University and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Since then he has written for the BBC, Royal Court, Soho Theatre, and Paines Plough, and his work has toured internationally. He was selected as one of 2010’s most promising playwrights by Offwestend.com. His short film Strays (2011), starring Richard Madden, was longlisted for a BAFTA. Kanaber’s first full-length and professionally produced play, Shiver, premiered at Watford Palace Theatre in 2014. It is a comic play about grief and Judaism and explores themes of identity, love, and faith.
