Yarit Dor is a movement director and fight and dance choreographer working in the UK. She trained in dance theatre in Israel and at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. From 2007 to 2009, she trained in Jacques Lecoq Physical Theatre at London International School of Performing Arts and was a member of a devised theatre group called Clowns at Work from 2009 to 2010. As part of an artist residency, she directed and choreographed Chairmania at the Battersea Arts Centre in 2010.
Dor is a certified stage combat teacher with The British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat. She works as a physical performer in motion capture and still performs with various physical theatre ensembles in the UK, Italy, and Philadelphia. Furthermore Dor is an associate tutor at RADA and an associate artist with the Director’s Cut Theatre Company.
Dor co-founded Theatrical Intimacy with Lizzy Talbot which is aimed at supporting a safe training of directors and performers when staging intimacy scenes. In 2017, Dor opened an ensemble theatre company called Moving Body Arts.
Dor’s stagework includes the West End productions Death of a Salesman, The Shark is Broken and Hamilton (UK Company). Dor has worked on various shows and films including Adult Material (BAFTA Nominee for Best Mini-Series with Emmy Award Winner Hayley Squires), Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022) and The Lord of The Rings: Rings of Power (2022).
