He was President of the German Society for Contemporary Theatre and Drama in English (2010-2016) and co-founded <em>JCDE<\/em>, a new journal on contemporary British drama, serving as co-editor from 2013 to 2016. He has written, edited and co-edited numerous books and articles, predominantly on theatre\/drama, intermediality, adaptation, neo-Victorianism, such as <em>Introduction to Media Studies<\/em> (2004), <em>Janespotting and Beyond: British Heritage Retrovisions since the Mid-1990s<\/em> (2005), <em>Adaptations: Performing across Media and Genres<\/em> (2009), <em>Reflecting on Darwin<\/em> (2014), and\u00a0<em>Dystopia, Science Fiction, Post-Apocalypse<\/em> (2015).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since 2016 he has been working with <a href=\"https:\/\/britishjewishtheatre.org\/?page_id=525\">Jeanette Malkin<\/a> (Hebrew University, Jerusalem) on the joint research project <a href=\"https:\/\/britishjewishtheatre.org\/?page_id=54\">\u201cHyphenated Cultures: Contemporary British Jewish Theatre\u201d<\/a> funded by German Lower Saxony-Israel Joint Research Project funds (Nieders\u00e4chsisches Vorab) of the Volkswagen Stiftung.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eckart Voigts is professor of English literature and cultural studies at TU Braunschweig, Germany.
