Devorah Baum is Associate Professor in English literature and critical theory at the University of Southampton. She is also attached to Southampton University’s Parkes Institute for the study of Jewish\/non-Jewish relations. She is the author of three books, Feeling Jewish<\/i> (2017), The Jewish Joke<\/i> (2017), and On Marriage (2023) and co-director of the creative documentary feature film, The New Man <\/i>(2016). Devorah Baum has written for a range of publications, including The New York Times<\/i>, The Guardian<\/i>, The Financial Times,<\/i> and Granta<\/i>. She is co-editor of a special issue of Granta Magazine\u00a0<\/i>on \u2018The Politics of Feeling\u2019 (Feb 2019).<\/p>\n
