She received a PhD in Theology from the University of Birmingham, a postgraduate diploma in Jewish studies from Oxford University, and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Centre for the Study of Jewish-Christian Relations (CJCR), Cambridge and the University of Cambridge.<\/p>\n<p>Holtschneider\u2019s research is focused on twentieth-century Jewish history and the impact of the Holocaust on Jewish\/non-Jewish relations. She has written numerous articles on these topics. Her monographs include\u00a0<i>The Holocaust and Representations of Jews: History and Identity in the Museum <\/i>(2011) and <i>German Protestants Remember the Holocaust: Theology and the Construction of Collective Memory<\/i> (2001).<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Together with Mia Spiro<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, she<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">is <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">the <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">principal <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">investigator<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> of a<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">n<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> AHRC-funded project on \u2018<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Jewish Lives, Scottish Spaces: Jewish Migr<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ation to Scotland 1880-1950\u2019 <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">(2015-2018)<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">. She is furthermore co-editor of <\/span><em><span lang=\"en-US\">Holocaust Studies: A Journal of Culture and History <\/span><\/em><span lang=\"en-US\">(2010-)<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, m<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">ember of the editorial board of <\/span><em><span lang=\"en-US\">Shofar: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Jewish Studies<\/span><\/em> <span lang=\"en-US\">(2013-)<\/span><em><span lang=\"en-US\">,<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"en-US\"> former president of the British Association for Jewish Studies<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">(2016\/17)<\/span><em><span lang=\"en-US\">, <\/span><\/em><span lang=\"en-US\">member of the European Association for Jewish Studies<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">(2007-)<\/span><em><span lang=\"en-US\">, <\/span><\/em><span lang=\"en-US\">the Association for Jewish Studies<\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\">(2007-)<\/span><em><span lang=\"en-US\">, <\/span><\/em><span lang=\"en-US\">the Stephen S.
